Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM)

Passengers at " Jorge Chávez International Airport " will find the following services:

Banks

Local currency in Peru is the "Nuevo Sol". There are cash dispensers (ATM'S) located in the main concourse, which accept major credit cards, both in local currency and in U.S. dollars.

Money Exchanges

There are some currency exchange offices located at the main concourse, in the international flight zone.

Duty Free

For international passengers arriving at the airport there is a duty free shop located before the Customs lounge

Ground Transportion

Ground transportation between the Airport and the city is available through taxi services or public transport. Public transport can be found outside the airport gates on Av. Faucett. The taxi zone is located by the international flights terminal and is provided through companies parking their vehicles in a provided area in front of the Customs exit.

Information & Customer Service

Bi-lingual personnel is on duty providing information in two Information Booths. These booths are located in the National and International terminals. The passenger can obtain information on arriving/departing flights, services and facilities provided at the airport, as well as general information.

Tourist Informationn

For tourist information you can also contact the information booths, where you can obtain information about hotels and the main tourist sites in Perú. If you have pre-arranged your hotel reservations you should check if your Hotel provides its own transport from the airport.

Left Luggage

This service is rendered on the main concourse. Passenger can safely leave luggage for days or hours at the following rates: US$ 3.00 per day per unit or US$ 1.00 per hour per unit.

Parking Lot

The parking lot is located in front of the main building, adjacent to the national and international terminals. The rate per hour or portion is S/.3.5 (nuevos soles) the first 10 minutes being free of charge. Guarded vehicle storage is located at the entrance of the parking lot and the rate per day is S/.17.50 (nuevos soles).

Medical Service

Emergency medical services are available 24 hours/day through the following institutions:

• International Health Department: A government dependency equipped with a small pharmacy is located on the mezzanine. The medical service is free of charge only for passengers, (medicines have to be paid.
• Clave Médica: Private medical service that provides ambulances for emergency transport. Located at the international terminal. First floor.

Restaurants

There are several restaurants located on the mezzanine level, in the international terminal.

Telephones

Passengers can find telephone booths working with local coins or cards on the main concourse in the national and international terminals. You can buy the cards in the different stands located on the main concourse and the international terminal.

Displays

There is a permanent display on Peruvian culture at the immigration control for international arrivals. Occasionally major displays are programmed in coordination with official and private entities.

Commercial Area/ Shopping

• At the main concourse, passengers can find shops and booths selling handycrafts, books, magazines and other items, as well as vending machines with soft drinks, snacks, cigarettes and coffee.
• The post office is located on the ground floor of the International Hall.

Guided Visits

The airport has developed a guided visit program addressed to school children that allows a quick view of how the airport operates, flight procedures, a brief review of the Peruvian civil and commercial aviation history. For that purpose please coordinate with Customer Service department..

Services to Passengers with Disabilities

At Lima "Jorge Chavez" airport we have wheelchairs for people with disabilities that can be requested at your airline counter. We also have adequate toilets throughout the terminal ground floor, departure and arrivals areas. Since the day of our commencement, a major focus will be on improving these facilities further.

The airport counts with the following security bodies:

• LAP Security.
